Observe:
This is little Cleo helping herself to the linen cabinet. Whenever I see her do this it totally cracks me up! She takes her little paw and just opens the door like a human. When she does this I can't get too close to her or else she'll stop. So I've never been able to get a super close up picture of this.

Do any of you have animals that are particularly crafty?
My cat growing up used to open my mom's makeup drawer from underneath, then jump onto the counter & "bat" out my mom's makeup brush & carry it around the house in her mouth. I don't know what it was about that particular brush that she liked...but she did this several times a day.

ReplyDeleteOur dog, Kelly when she was younger would hide things! When we would have workers/handymen in the house there was always something missing and we would be scrambling looking for the missing tool! LOL...
That is so cute! My Sammy does the same thing. When he's bored or trying to get attention, he walks around the kitchen and opens every single cabinet door! Then he will jump onto the counter and open the top ones. He's such a turd. We installed baby locks on the cabinet that holds the trash and cleaning supplies so he can't get into them. :)
ReplyDeleteWe used to have a cat when I was a child that would pee in the toilet. I have heard that you can train your cats to do that, however we never trained out cat, he just did it on his own, lol.
ReplyDeleteDinky doesn't do anything really strange, she does have a habbit of taking peoples socks off though. She thinks if she see's socks she has to bite them off.

ReplyDeleteOh Katee, I could tell you stories about my Mishka. He's one of the smartest cats out
there and spoiled too. hehe
No matter how much we feed him, he always wants to eat or drink what we are. The other day I was drinking tea and I left it on my desk, beside the laptop. So I come back into my room and I see he jumped on the chair, put his paws on the table and IS DRINKING TEA FROM MY CUP! That was the end of my tea drinking and I had to throw out the cup. lol
We had a cat that was extremely feral. We couldn't touch it or pick it up. It LET us reside with him. We knew it must love us as it left us numerous disemboweled critters at our door EVERY day.
ReplyDeleteBut, whenever our family took an evening walk...it would walk behind us meowing the entire time. It would go about a mile and then wait for us to come back...and then accompany us the rest of the way home.
